Mountain huts in remote mountainous regions have historically faced limited electricity supply, resulting in pitch-black nights, charging difficulties, and even compromised mountaineering safety.
Today, TA TUN and Yushan National Park Management Office jointly signed a memorandum of cooperation, formally launching the ‘Mountain Microgrid Upgrade Initiative’. The first phase will be implemented at the Walami Mountain Hut, introducing solar power and energy storage systems.
🔋 Storing 10 kWh daily not only charges 60 mobile phones but also cooks 60 bowls of instant noodles, enhancing hikers’ safety and convenience!
This marks Taiwan Power Company’s inaugural application of ESG principles in mountainous regions – a sincere dialogue between technology and nature.
We firmly believe:
Electricity should transcend industrial power to become a guardian of our forests.
Where there is light, there is warmth – and responsibility.
